MARCH Favorites

Spring Time is here! I love March for several reasons, but the main one being is that it is the month that Corbin and I got married. I get to celebrate that joyful day each and every year and look back at that special day as well as all the special years we have had, and the years we have to look forward to. This year was 3 years married! I can’t believe it’s gone by so fast and I am looking forward to many more years to come. This post if going to be a little shorter because I didn’t really do anything this month but, that’s okay because you are mostly just here to read about my favorites.

I did however, get to bust out the spring dresses and cute clothes for a few days before it snowed again. Last summer I purchased this adorable beaded bag from Loeffler and Randall and (thanks Covid) I haven’t had an opportunity to even go out and use it. I also snagged this cute Bridgerton style dress from Target. Its got the prettiest flower pattern embroidered into the fabric in the same color and it adds the most feminine touch.

I almost forgot that a crazy thing happened in March too. I completely lost my voice. Like no noise came from my lips for an entire week. I felt like I could have ran a marathon and yet I had no voice. It was the strangest thing that has ever happened to me. Me of all people who loves to talk couldn’t talk and my husband thought it was the greatest week of his life. It really sucked because I need my voice to coach group fitness classes and personal train but my voice said otherwise. I was so terrified that I was going to strain my voice again once I started to regain some sounds that I did my very best to talk only minimally and keep a quiet tone when I did start talking again. Lets just say for an entire week I spent a lot of time in my office drinking tea, crafting and making cute things with my Cricut.

Now on to the stuff you have been waiting to read. If you have been following me for a while you already know, BUT if you’ve never read one of these posts, let me explain.  I like to take an inventory of my favorite things I have stumbled upon each month and share them with you all! It will be open to anything and all things – no exceptions!

If you end up taking my advice (which come on, why wouldn’t you?!) and purchase or use any of the items below – TAG ME in them! I want to see you out there being the BadAss Babes that you all are!

1. Pure Tan Foaming Water– I have been a die hard user of Bondi Sands products for years and years now. It is the longest lasting self tan and has a beautiful dark bronze color that I love. Bondi recently released a new cleaner version of their products called Pure. It has Hyaluronic Acid and added Vit C and E! The best part is that it goes on colorless and has no smell at all! I haven’t had any color transfer to my sheets and I have all white bedding so that is a win in my book! My husband also hates the smell of fake tanner and he had no idea that I even put any on. It is also very easy to apply and dries super quick so you can put your clothes right back on and not feel like your legs are going to be glued together. I am loving the color so far and have found that if I apply two days in a row I get an amazing glow. I even tested on my face with the left overs on the mid to see how it looked and I thought it looked great! I would definitely get the tanning drops to add to my facial moisturizer and see how that looks next. Overall its a huge thumbs up from an avid self tanner like my self.

2. Bully Grip– Alright so I give my dog Lulu Bully Sticks all the time and she is a pretty heavy chewer and can eat a 6 inch stick in no time at all. I used to try and wedge it into rubber toys in hopes that she couldn’t eat it as fast but she would chew it down and then bark at me to pull more of it out. I think that it is highly dangerous to just give your dog a chew especially if they can chew through things fast and eat the whole thing in no time at all. I recently researched toys that hold bully sticks and don’t let dogs pull them out and eat that tiny little nub that is left at the end because that’s where the choking hazard occurs. Lulu would often try to swallow the whole little chunk. With the Bully Grip I don’t have to worry about her ripping the stick out and she can chew to her hearts content without me worrying she is going to choke when it gets too small. I am very pleased with this product and highly recommend if your dog is an aggressive bone chewer. It gives me peace of mind knowing I don’t have to watch her too closely while she eats bones. Since Lulu is only 18lbs I purchased the mini size and It works great! I wouldn’t get a bigger one since she can hardly pick that one up with her mouth.

3.Soliel Blanc– Alright ladies here is your new summer scent! I love all things Tom Ford and this is his iconic scent Soliel Blanc in a Shimmer body oil. I also have the perfume too incase you don’t want to have glitter all over but I especially love this smell because it reminds me of all things summer and being on vacation. Wear this poolside while you sun bathe or out to dinner for an al fresco date night on the town. It smells so good I catch myself smelling myself hahahaha! But really you will too. I don’t wear perfume or fragrance for anyone other than myself and this scent whether it is the body oil or the perfume is my go to for summer scents. It can be a bit of an investment to purchase Tom Ford scents so I highly advise going to Sephora and asking for a sample of both the shimmer oil and the perfume.

4.The Grace Year – I am a huge fan of Audible books and reading in general but when life gets crazy to tend to steer more towards audibles so that I can multitask. However, I love a good book and ebooks have been my jam since college because when you are constantly moving hardcopy books get heavy real quick. This book was actually recommended to me from a friend and I literally could not put it down. I won’t give too much away but it felt like a hunger games mixed with like a handmaids tale and I FREAKING LOVED IT! I linked the Amazon copy of this book but you can purchase through most places that sells books. I just prefer ebooks now so I bought mine through Apple Books.

5.Under Coat Dematting Rake– Friends if you own a husky do me a favor and send me all your grooming tips and tricks. I have an 18lb Alaskan Klee Kai and she sheds just as much if not more than a big husky. I have tried every single type of comb, brush, etc and have finally nailed it down to a couple of my favorites that work really well. This new under coat rake that I got works wonders with her thicker undercoat. Most straight tooth rakes just glide right through her fur and don’t do a darn thing. This one actually gets those matted dead spots that are super embedded. Its not sharp at all but I wouldn’t recommend pushing very hard for the sake of your dogs comfort. It works wonders on her fluffy butt and all the really thick areas that seem to have no end when brushing. I highly recommend this rake if you have a pet with long fur. If you are more interested in things I use for Lulu. I am planning on writing an entire post about Lulu and all her foods, treats, etc that we use for her because I know there are some people who are interested.
